Now in its sixth year, the event is shrinking in size, going from a three-day event to a single evening. Organizers said the new format will allow them to “show a very targeted range of Montrealer’s fashion talents” as it did in its beginning six years ago.
Still, the showcase will include industry heavy-weights including Montreal womenswear design veteran Denis Gagnon. He will be joined by designer Janie McLaughlin and Markantoine who will all present their Fall / Winter 2019-2020 collections.
For another year, showcases by Montreal’s three fashion schools – LaSalle College, Cégep Marie-Victorin and the Ecole supérieure de mode ESG-UQAM – will take place including both static presentations and runway shows.
There will equally be a selection of accessory designers on display at the event including Nina Nanas, HYP Socks, Kris Warren, Guillotine and SegSea.
The event, founded by Emanuela Lolli, launched in 2014 following the cancellation of Montreal’s official fashion week.
