Coperni was relaunched at the start of the year by designers Arnaud Vaillant and Sébastien Meyer, and the new approach it is introducing this season, based on open access for the public, is distinctive. It is expected to attract a large following at the next Paris Fashion Week, scheduled from September 23 to October 1, when Coperni will give the classic catwalk show a miss in favour of a one-hour presentation at the Apple Store on the Champs-Elysées. The event will be part of a series of sessions organised by Apple for the ‘Today at Apple’ project.
This doesn’t mean that Coperni will stage a live show at the Apple Store, however. The label’s Spring/Summer 2020 collection will be unveiled on a video wall, while Vaillant and Meyer will give details about their design and fabric choices to the audience, focusing on the high-tech aspects of their new collection.
The presentation will culminate with an insight into the designer duo’s creative process, as an extensive selection of their sketches will be displayed using iPads.
The Coperni presentation is scheduled for 12.30 pm on September 24, at the Apple Store located at 114 avenue des Champs-Elysées, Paris. Guests must remember to register on the Apple website in order to be able to attend.
