Some things never change.

The “Frozen 2” soundtrack found its way to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Not only is it the first new full-length soundtrack to reach No. 1 this year, but it’s the first time an animated film’s soundtrack reached the top spot since the original “Frozen” spent 13 weeks there in 2014, according to Billboard.

The soundtrack, released in November, includes songs from the hit movie, which has topped the box office for three straight weeks and is on track to break $1 billion in worldwide sales. Among the earworms are “Into the Unknown,” “Lost in the Woods” and “The Next Right Thing.” Actors Idina Menzel (Elsa), Kristen Bell (Anna), Jonathan Groff (Kristoff) and Josh Gad (Olaf) are featured, while artists such as Panic! At The Disco, Kacey Musgraves and Weezer lend their voices to covers of the film’s songs.

The soundtrack’s rise to the top coincides with news the film earned two Golden Globes nominations: Animated film and original song for “Into the Unknown.”

The new Dec. 14-dated chart, where “Frozen 2” rises from No. 3 to No. 1, will be posted in full on Billboard’s websites Dec. 10. The soundtrack racked up 80,000 equivalent album units earned in the USA in the week ending Dec. 5, according to Nielsen Music.
